Crabapple Bakery - Big Shoes to Fill...

I am sure you have all heard the Crabapple Bakery went into voluntary liquidation earlier this month and so now there is a huge gap in the market where they left off... I cannot say that I am the one to fill that gap but I certainly will give it a shot... I have started to receive some commerical orders already and I am lucky enough to have access to a commerial kitchen in which to fill those orders... These are some cupcakes I made over the weekend including the handmade flowers...

My classes are getting lots of attention too with the school holidays commencing soon so I might be too busy to post over the next few weeks... Vida x

Thanks Mel. I did love this design, they were for my daughter and completely edible, even though everyone said they were too pretty to eat! Thanks again, Vida x x x

Sarah, thanks heaps... today it was crazy with a huge booking for the school holidays AND a very large order from a company that just realised Crabapple was not in business anymore. It was great that my website was up because that was how they found me! Vida x

See, timing is everything. This is your karmic reward for being brave and for pressing on, enduring things that many could not have coped with. You deserve your success and blessings. xxx

Great work Vida. Are those butterflies made from chocolate and edible as well?

I knew a good website would come in handy. Aren't you glad you fixed it up properly.

Am I one of the champagne people. You know I love free booze. Just let me know when you decide to have your champagne party. I'll even bring some muffins hahaha.

Thanh, of course you will be invited!!! Very glad and very grateful!!! Vida x

Thanh, the butterflies are totally edible but not made from chocolate, they are wafer. Vida

Mater Beige's 70th..

I am envisaging your gorgeous butterfly cupcakes, on a stand, surrounded by ivy and other greenery, as her birthday cake!!!

Vida said...

Wow, that sounds fabulous... I have just purchased a five tiered cake stand that can take 95 cupcakes so that would be perfect! The ivy idea is perfect!! Very creative of you!!! Vida x

What fabulous cupcakes! Love the attention to detail! Also thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Crusting buttercream is one that has powdered sugar in it (not a swiss meringue style buttercream). You can find a recipe on my blog if you type in the search key "vanilla buttercream demolition desserts". Hope that helps!

Sweet & Saucy - thanks heaps... found the recipe and appreciate you writing back! Your blog is fabulous!! Vida x
